K. Balachandrappa, the visionary founder of Wansai International Sourcing Consultants, is recognized as a driving force in procurement and supply chain management with more than 25 years of dynamic, hands-on experience. Over his career, he has led sourcing, technical procurement, and vendor development for major organizations, most notably serving as Associate Vice President – Sourcing at Indo National Limited, where he handled all aspects of materials and capital equipment procurement on a global scale.

Professional Journey

  • Began as a Trainee and Supervisor, building a foundation in production, fabrication, and alloy casting.

  • Progressed through successive leadership roles from Asst. Engineer to AVP Sourcing at Indo National Limited, gaining expertise across all purchasing, inventory, and vendor management functions.

  • Directly managed procurement from China, Japan, Singapore, and Vietnam, delivering innovative sourcing strategies and robust cost savings.

Leadership & Achievements

  • Achieved significant cost reductions, including a savings milestone of ₹10 crores in raw material and outsourced product sourcing.

  • Pioneered localization strategies that led to millions in operational savings and improved supply chain resilience.

  • Excelled in ERP implementation, inventory optimization, and special projects such as the localization of high-value imported presses and machinery.
